Is there a way to change the date format of a field? When I select a date, the format includes the time (of when the field is filled). This is a bit confusing because if I select a date in the past it gives today's current time.

the date field uses the same Joomla function as in the Joomla backend eg when creating an article, so the date format is defined by the Joomla core. Unfortunately this can't be changed, since this is also the format a date is saved to the database.
